Sarah Palin Endorses Carly Fiorina
67The Need To Outbox Boxer
When it comes to United States Senators up for reelection in November, Barbara Boxer (Democrat, California) ranks high on the list of liberals We the People need to target for replacement. Knowing this, it came as no surprise to read (on her Facebook page) that Sarah Palin had endorsed commonsense conservative Carly Fiorina as the lady to do the job. Fiorina has the street cred and the moxie to make it happen. It's a classic matchup with the usual list of suspects when it comes to positions on the issues.
For example, on the issue which is always and forever my number one priority, the Second Amendment and the right of Americans to pack heat as they see fit, Boxer has always been strongly in favor of gun control. In fact, I first became aware of her as an enemy when she helped pass antigun legislation in 1994. Carly Fiorina is--like Sarah Palin and yes, like me--a member of the NRA.
Sarah's endorsement "batting average" isn't bad these days. She came out in support of Sean Duffy to unseat Wisconsin's David Obey on February 17, and today Obey is political toast. Whether it's Palin Power or pure Alaskan luck, who cares? The Dems are going down, and I've begun paying a whole lot of attention to those candidates she's personally vetted as being suitable to help us take back Congress this year. With that in mind, her picks do pique my interest on a regular basis--especially since there's not one ounce of doubt in my mind that Sean Hannity has it exactly right when he underscores the 2010 midterm Congressional elections as the turning point for our nation...one way or the other.
But there were three specifics in Mrs. Palin's update on Carly Fiorina that grabbed my attention by the scruff of the neck and shook it like a terrier shaking a rat. Those three are in bold print and underlined for your reading pleasure:
Carly has been endorsed by the National Right to Life, the California Pro-Life Council, and the Susan B. Anthony List. She is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, pro-military, and pro-strict border security and against amnesty. She is against Obamacare and will vote to repeal it and prevent the government takeover of private companies and industries. Carly is also a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Like me, she is a member of the NRA, has a 100% NRA rating, and she and her husband are gun owners. She is pro-energy development and believes as I do in an all-of-the-above approach to energy independence. She is against cap and tax. And most importantly, Carly is the only conservative in the race who can beat Barbara Boxer. That’s no RINO. That’s a winner.
If Sarah says Carly is the only Boxer-beater in the bunch, I believe it. Alaska's former Governor has--despite all that denigration coming from the left--the most incisive, penetrating, accurate mind for politics I've ever seen in action. Her eidetic (photographic) memory doesn't hurt, but it's deeper than just that.
When I was a teenager, a neighbor and friend of the family named Tim had a talent. Actually, he had many talents, but we're talking (appropriately) about talent in the field of (ahem!) boxing. Tim had been a professional lightweight boxer himself, though he was out ouf that game by the time we met. One skill he never lost, though, was the ability to swiftly analyze any boxing contest he watched. Television was new in those days. Our family didn't even have a set, but Tim and his family did. It was small, in black and white only, and it was a huge miracle.
My Dad and I would, whenver possible, show up at Tim's house for the Wednesday night fights. Within one minute of action, he would predict not only which fighter would win, but how. Knockout, TKO, or decision, and (if not a decision) in which round. He. Never. Missed.
In all these years (I'm now 66), I've only witnessed one other talent like that--i.e., the ability to swiftly analyze a struggle and predict the outcome accurately. And that talent belongs, yes, to Sarah Palin in the field of (obviously) politics.
Barbara Boxer, prepare for the votes to hit the fan.
Fiona's Worth Fanning
Two special notes of appreciation for Carly Fiona:
1. Her support of strict border security is fundamental. My wife and I live one mile from the Mexican border, and the illegals flow northward around us like we're nothing but a medium sized boulder in a rushing river. The fence is complete in this area but does not appear to slow them down in the slightest.
2. Obamacare, to me more appropriately termed Hell Care or Health Care Deformed, is highly offensive to me. I don't appreciate the Pus of the Potomac trying to force me to buy any product and criminalizing me if I don't. That the product in question is overpriced health insurance only adds insult (literally) to injury.
No, I don't live in California, though I have done so in the past. However, we do have family and friends scattered throughout the state. Let's see...we haven't talked to Pam's aunt in quite a while, and there's my old Army buddy....
Remember in November.

That will be a race to watch, for sure. I'm anxious to see how many thugs will be sent to the polling places. I imagine Boxer is considered important enough to the dems that they'll go all out for her.
Ghost, I hope we see Barbara Boxer defeated. This is a very good hub. Thanks.
Hey - frankly Ghost, I've never been a fan of Fiorina's. She ran Hewlett Packard into the ground, taking it from "the best" company in Silicon Valley to work for to the worst. The political in-fighting became so bad that the board finally ousted her. However, I believe it was a smart move on Sarah's part to endorse her. There are a lot of people who want very pure conservatives to get and stay in office (me included), but in the current climate that might not be the smartest way for those on the right to get in at all. So I applaud Sarah's political savvy (again), although I'm sure her intelligence is completely beyond most on the left (except for a very dangerous few!).
As far as Boxer goes, oh Lord - please, please, please get her out.
Great stuff Ghost :)
