Ruth McClung Vs. Raul Grijalva : Voter Fraud In Arizona

From Watergate to Yumagate. The Arizona CD7 race between Ruth McClung and Raul "Boycott" Grijalva has produced Arizona's own version of [Chicago + ACORN] style politics. At least it certainly looks like saving Rotten Raul's political hide would pretty much have to be the motive for what happened in Yuma. The Yuma Sun reported on it, PubliusPundit expanded on that report, and state Senate candidate Gail Griffin spoke to our Palominas Tea Party group about it just a few hours ago.

Here's the deal:

1. Two organizations — Mi Familia Vota and One Vote Arizona — submitted more than 3000 voter registrations in Yuma County, and more than 20,000 registrations  statewide. They've also signed up 43,000 people statewide for the permanent early voter list.

2. A full 65% of those new registrations have already been found to be fraudulent. No, really? You don't say.

3. The County Recorder's office in Yuma became deeply suspicious. Not only were many new registrations invalid, but 80% of all early ballots that were eventually mailed out were promptly returned, pretty much en masse. That never happens. In Cochise County this year, 21,000 such ballots were mailed. As of today, roughly 9,000 had been returned. That, we were informed, is pretty much par for the course--over 40%, still a high return rate for a non-Presidential year, but still well under 50%. Never 80%. And certainly never that many coming in more or less in one batch. The Republicans have an attorney on site now who will remain there through Election Day and beyond, until every ballot is checked for validity.

Clearly, all of us owe a huge debt of gratitude to the alert Recorder who blew the whistle on the scam. Why this and/or any other election-stealing dirty tricks would be considered is rather obvious: It's looking like rocket scientist Ruth McClung is going to oust Grijalva from office. The Congressional Progressive Caucus co-chair certainly wouldn't like that, and neither would the rest of Obama's Little Red Army. The end justifies the means, etc., etc. Bottom line for the Democrats: Losing Grijalva on November 2 would be only marginally less crushing than losing Harry Reid. And the operative word here is marginally.

Which means all of us in Arizona need to rev up our B.S. detectors, keep a sharp lookout for Yuma-style voter fraud in Cochise County, Maricopa County--Pinal, Pima, you name it. We're all at risk. Some of our local Tea Party folks have already begun investigating, here in Cochise County--and while they've not yet spotted any actual fraud, they did immediately find some terribly sloppy security procedures regarding early ballots. We're on it down here, folks, but you may want to think about your area.

Man, this is getting long...and there's a bit of ground yet to cover. How about a photo break?

All For One

4. Those 3,000-plus Yuma registrations? Um...they were dropped off all at one time at the Recorder's office...on the exact registration deadline...and nearly all of them were registering folks as Democrats.

Which, if you've got any sort of nose whatsoever for this sort of thing, smells fishier than one of those commercial salmon-grabbing boats with Sarah Palin working the slime line. (The slime line is where you manually strip eggs from the fish and call 'em caviar.) But we're not done yet; please continue reading after you've finished hurling.

5. Recently, those same thousands of newly registered voters (working as a unified group, mind you) had papers delivered to the Yuma Recorder’s office asking to be enrolled on the permanent early voters list… meaning the ballots will always be mailed early, with no accountability. Except for all those phonies who get caught falsifying paperwork, of course.

Ah. What made all those 65-percenters ineligible to vote, you ask? What a sensible question! Let's see...phony signatures...registrant not a U.S. citizen (gee, I wonder how that could happen, right down there on the Mexican border)...invalid and/or wrong address...stuff like that and more.

At the Tea Party meeting tonight, one of our members contributed a little gem. Shortly after the 2008 Presidential election that swept Barack Hussein "What Birth Ceritificate" Obama into office, our guy just happened to be in a spot to overhear a group of Mexican gentlemen conversing in Spanish...which he speaks fluently, but he doesn't look the part, and they clearly didn't know that. One of the speakers was sharing with his friends a story about the bus he'd ridden on Election Day. First, they were fed and given money. Then they were deposited near a precinct polling station, where they all went in and voted for Obama and the rest of the Democrats on the ticket. Then they reboarded, the bus moved on to a different polling station, and they repeated the process...and repeated the process. All in all, the man was saying, they'd had a fine time, great food, and had each cast six votes for the Prez before the polls closed. Happy campers.

Holy squirrely ACORNs, Batman! No wonder this country is going nuts! And no wonder Democrats from Raul Grijalva to Obama himself favor open borders and amnesty, either.

Well, all you folks who believe the ends justify the means, We the People have a message for you--just in case you've actually learned to read the writing on the wall. The message is this:

NOT ON OUR WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not just the Ruth McClung Vs. Raul Grijalva contest, either. In every race on every ballot throughout these 50 states, America is awake and on guard. We slept longer and harder than Rip Van Winkle. We let things get done to us that should never have been done. But whatever has been done...can be undone.

ObamaZombies, prepare to see your would-be coup d'etat undone...NEXT WEEK.

UPDATE 10/28/2010

I first heard about this on the radio this morning: The above data as I've outlined it may not be accurate. On October 26, the Yuma Sun printed an article which begins as follows:

Election official: Claims of voter registration fraud not true

The Yuma County Recorder's Office says it has processed a large number of requests to be put on the permanent early voter list but claims of fraudulent voter registration is not an issue in Yuma County, despite reports in the blogosphere.

The article goes on to state that the "3,000" figure was correct...but referred to early voting requests, not registrations. However, there remains some question (in my mind, at least) regarding whether or not the question of elections fraud is put to rest...or not. One paragraph farther along in that same article state,

“During this election cycle, the Recorder's Office has processed over 14,000 PEVL requests, and over 8,000 eligible voters have been added to the PEVL in Yuma County,” she said. “The remaining requests were reviewed and rejected, under Arizona law, either due to the fact the request was a duplicate or the requestor was not eligible to vote in this election or within the jurisdiction.”

"PEVL" is the acronym for "Permanent Early Voters List". While these numbers (14,000 submitted, 8,000 verified) are for early voting (not registration) and indicate an "invalid rate" of 43% (not 64%)...doesn't 43% still sound like a pretty high failure rate to you? It does to me. Maybe that's normal, maybe not.

At any rate, here's the Update Summary:

1. Despite having drawn from three separate sources, it looks like the original hub (above) was at least partially in error as to the the amount of voter fraud in Yuma.

2. Despite the Yuma County Recorder's Office current disclaimer, the claims of voter fraud have not necessarily been disproven, though they do appear to have at least been modified.

3. The Yuma Sun article on 10/20 does definitely state that at least one statistic reported in the hub (43,000 early voters signed up statewide) is accurate.

4. It is recommended to readers that (time allowing) they click on both Yuma Sun links, read both articles in full, and come to their own conclusions.

UPDATE--SAME DAY, LATER

Arizona state Senator Russell Pearce has sent out an email blast, with followup, stating that it definitely does look like there is some fraud involved in the Yuma situation. An excerpt from his email reads as follows:

It appears the Yuma Sun Newspaper had some of the terminology wrong and perhaps some of the numbers wrong. The fact that there appears to be fraud is apparent. The numbers are perhaps not correct on the type of fraud. The state GOP and the Secretary of State are looking into it. It appears as much as 25% are very suspicious. The numbers are to be verified. The evidence appears to be clear that there is fraud.

Russell goes on to remind us that the initial information came from a newspaper story and that reporters often favor getting a story over getting at the truth. He promises criminal prosecution for any and all perpetrators of proven voter fraud, however, and what Pearce promises, he delivers.

Just in case you're from out of state and the name is not familiar to you, Russell Pearce is the guy behind SB 1070, our illegal immigration law which has made us so popular (here in Arizona) with the OzBama administration.

Please note that "...The state GOP and the Secretary of State...." are looking into it. Not the Attorney General. That would be Terry Goddard, who is a real tool and who refused to back Arizona in defending SB 1070 when Obama's Zombies decided to try stomping on our state. Goddard...Grijalva...Giffords...we really need to get rid of all those "G-words"!

Another fantastic hub by my hub friend Ghost32. Since becoming a faithful hubber, my entire daily routine has changed. When my old eyes pop open at 4:30AM every morning, I first head to the coffee pot that automatically starts brewing my favorite beverage at 4:00AM, then to my computer to read the latest hub from Ghost32. I'm not certain which event would upset my day the most. If my coffee pot failed to start, or if there was not a new hub to read from my friend. Tomorrow, I will have the honor and pleasure of meeting Ghost32 in person, which I am really looking forward to.

Thanks for the comments--as for the meeting, you bet, Pam and I are very much looking forward to that as well.

However, I'm pretty sure the coffee pot failing to start would be the greater upset. Hubbers do have off days, but caffeine goes on forever! :)

I thought I heard something on the news today about encouraging Latinos to get out and vote. Is this what they meant? How do they get away with six votes per person?

Awesome Hub, thanks Old Poolman for pointing this out too me. It's like I said in my hub, eventually the Democrats are going to have to figure out if the only way they can win is to cheat, that means we really don't want them in there in the first place. God Bless you sir, and have a wonderful night.

Jim, I've been thinking about that--and it seems to me the only way to pull that off would be with either a lot of false I.D. cards (pure forgeries) or with a lot of identity-theft packets (which, as I understand it, are available online at black market websites for just a few bucks per driver's license, credit card, whatever). How they did it precisely has not been publicized...but it's clear that with enough money to spend, it could definitely be done.

I'm guess that on that 6-votes-per-person bus, they were quite possibly handed 6 different sets of I.D.

But another grim possibility does exist. At our local Tea Party meetings, we've had speakers who are very familiar with local voting procedures. These folks tell us that although voting rolls in our area are supposed to be purged/updated every 90 days, it rarely happens...meaning it's more than possible for a person to move a month or two before an election and be listed on the rolls in two different counties at the same time.

How that might parlay into six votes, I have no clue.

Rachell, you're certainly right. It would seem that they've already figured it out (cheating being the only way to win). Fortunately, a lot of the cheaters--at least here in the southwest--appear to be as inept at voter fraud as Obama is at being President.

Jeez, I sure hope the other polling places in Arizona are "keeping an eye out". It is a damn shame that people even consider doing this and worse, that people would still want to belong to a party responsible for this behavior.

Great hub. I'm getting myself worked up for the Ghost32 post midterm election hubs coming to a hub near you next week. Same bat time. Same bat channel! Holy happy election day Batman!

Coach, the good news is that it seems citizens are watchdogging the elections all across the country this year. It's ticking off the libs something fierce, and of course they're trying to blame the victim--by claiming the pre-rigged touchscreens in Nevada that showed Harry Reid no matter what you did were all cases of senile Senior Citizens bumping the wrong parts of the screens, for example.

But it doesn't look like an Al Franken-style stolen election will be that easy for them this time around. There will be battles, no doubt...a lot of them. Which we intend to win.

'Cause we done solved the Riddler's riddles, Robin, and the Riddler's goin' down!

P.S. Ah, as for the folks still wanting to belong to such a party? There's an easy explanation for that: Denial. Most Dems (including at least one uncle and most likely one sister of mine) simply refuse to believe the stories of voter fraud are true.
