Ruth McClung Running Dead Even With Raul Grijalva!
58Ruth Has Him On The Run
No establishment type would have believed it, but recent polls by both parties show Republican challenger Ruth McClung in a dead heat with deeply entrenched Democrat incumbent Raul Grijalva. Sonoran Alliance has an article, complete with news video, verifying this as of September 19, 2010.
You go, Ruth.
This year, of course, establishment scorn has proven to be almost a guarantee of success. Even a simple scan of Tea Party type conservatives endorsed by Sarah Palin is enough to confirm this. Think Carly Fiorina, Joe Miller, Christine O'Donnell...to name but a few.
Yes, these polls--if nothing else--may well stir Rotten Raul's campaign machinery, actually put it into gear. Right now, a good guess would be that the Grijalvites are going from "Ho hum!" to "Oh damn!" But guess what?
Too little too late, MechA Boy.
True, there are still six weeks remaining before we Throw the Bums Out on November 2. Also true, that's at least three eternities in a campaign. Unfortunately for the admirer of Venezuela's Cesar Chavez, however, the baggage is all on his side. Examples:
1. Boycotting his own people in the state of Arizona was a career move comparable to repairing a leak in the Hindenberg dirigible with a blowtorch. Political suicide much, Raul?
2. Open borders advocates in general are having a tough time in Arizona these days. Sure, they keep trying--just yesterday, an Arizona Daily Star article discussed in some detail a volunteer group that goes around filming cop stops in an effort to catch the police and/or Border Patrol doing something they can decry as racial profiling. Trouble is, they've been doing this for sixteen years, and, as the article states:
"...So far, the group has not observed any major civil rights violations...but it will continue with its mission to police the police...."
Wow. Not much ammo there...while on the other side, CD7 voters are keenly aware of such events as Mexican drug cartel scouts murdering rancher Robert Krentz in Cochise County and living in caves on ranches in Pinal County [70 miles from the border].
3. Co-chairing the Congressional Progressive Caucus isn't helpful either, especially since patriots like Glenn Beck have been helping America wake up to the deeply socialistic, own-the-people policies that are part and parcel of every Progressive platform. Believe it or not, Grijalva, We the People actually appreciate Liberty in this country.
And, thanks to a brilliant young conservative by the name of Ruth McClung, Arizona CD7 is about to do its part in Takin' Back Our Country.
Time To Bear Down
These final weeks are when those of us who support Ruth in her quest will need to "pull an Obama"--that is, we need to double down. Hey, the Prez does that every time he's lost a round on any given issue; we might as well turn a page from his own book against him and double down when we're winning. Volunteers and hard, cold cash are the keys. If you can afford five bucks, you can send it McClung's way (her website is "ruth4az.com"). If you live in CD7--or even travel in the District regularly--a single McClung for Congress bumper sticker is worth hundreds of dollars in paid advertising. Or simply contact her folks via the website; they'll be more than happy to let you know how your efforts can help the most.
[Caveat: My own pro-McClung writing will continue, but there may be a bit of a hiatus during the latter half of this particular week. My stepson just informed his Mom he's getting married next Saturday, and Pam is trying not to have a panic attack over the last-minute notice!]
Now, obviously Raul Grijalva and his Incumbent Cartel would like to smear Ruth McClung as other Democrats are smearing their opponents, right? Heh. Good luck with that, R.G. See, while it's true that the Republican nominee is a political newcomer, that's actually anadvantage in 2010...and there's nothing else at all to use against her. She has a college degree in physics, an actual job in that field, a husband who is also a physicist, etc. etc. Mud won't stick to this one.
Which means that, come November 2, you're going to be judged by the voters on the issues.
Poor you.

So why aren't these little police-policing people in Mexico where they could get all kinds of corruption video? I'm betting 3/4 of the people in these groups are Mexican, even likely illegal. Call me crazy but be nice about it! So they will help democrats in this kind of cause in America, biting the hand that is feeding them basically, but wouldn't do the hard work in their own country? Don't worry. Today I am in control of my fingers but I'm telling you I sure have a fistful I'd like to say to that notion.
Wonderful news about Ruth. That is, so far, the highlight of my day. It would be so good for Arizona. I'm glad it's turning around. We can't let off for a moment.
