Massachusetts For Sarah Palin

A Peek At The Future

Can't you just see the headline on Election Night 2012? "MASSACHUSETTS CHOOSES PALIN!!"

Sure, writing future history is a bit of a risky business. Tonight, though, while hopefuls audition for American Idol on television and I keep checking the late breaking news on my laptop, it doesn't really feel that chancy. After all, Republican Scott Brown just upset Democrat Martha Coakley by winning the Senate seat occupied for nearly half a century by Ted Kennedy. How liberal did this formerly ultra-blue state used to be? Hm, let's see...it was the only state that went for McGovern over Nixon in 1972. That's pretty blue, folks!

Not that Sarah Palin has even admitted she'll be running. In Touch magazine features Sarah, Bristol, Trigg, and Tripp on the front cover this week. In the accompanying interview, Mrs. Palin reiterates what she's said since the release of Going Rogue:

"I don't know what I'm going to do," Sarah says. "I don't know."

I believe her. Absolutely. Sarah Palin has a deep connection with her personal inner guidance and has shown every indication of being able to take one day at a time, in effect asking God what it is she should be doing at any given moment...trusting the answer...and then doing it. I understand that process and relate to it because it's very much the same way I try to handle my own affairs.

The operational word in that last sentence, however, is "try". The odds are astronomically high that the former Governor of Alsaska follows those steps more faithfully, accurately, and successfully than I do.

Okay, so I believe her. Absolutely. I also believe she'll run. Absolutely.

Why?

Because this country needs her in the White House like the desert needs rain. Because her greatest desire after caring for her family is to serve her country. And because there are fanatics out here--yes, like me, but including thousands of other U.S. citizens as well--who will make it crystal clear to the Palin family that Uncle Sam Wants Sarah!

I don't believe she will be able to ignore that call.

...on the front cover this week....
...on the front cover this week....

Massive Help From The Left

Perhaps Sarah could indeed ignore the call to run in 2012...were it not for the continued spur to action provided by President Obama and his Progesso Soup. No insult to the Progresso brand intended, but so-called Progressive (capital intended) Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and of course Mr. Obama himself--well, they've at least put themselves into the stewpot if not the chunky soup can. Already, ahead of the Brown win which spiked at least one of their major guns in the healthcare voting process, Obama had promised to double down, as it were, and work all that much harder to pass the abomination they call health care reform if in fact RSC (that would be Rubber Stamp Coakley) did in fact lose.

Say what?

You mean to say they still don't get the message? They still don't comprehend the pure dee fact that their arrogance and incompetence have triggered a voters' rebellion the likes of which has not been seen in these United States in a lo-o-ong time--like maybe never?

Evidently not. The only plausible alternative explanation is that they flat don't care in the least what the voters want, in which case those who've been labeling them as Marxists might even be right on the mark.

I must be something of an incurable optimist, because it's not yet possible for me to accept the premise that every national-level Democrat in this Union is a sold-out Socialist or worse. Some of the elected Democrats have to understand the meaning of today's "Scott heard 'round the world"...don't they? Enough, at least, to begin backing away from blind support for a President who's become an albatross that could sink the Titanic, the Flying Dutchman, and a whole fleet of Somali pirates all in one swell foop.

One line of "analysis" on Yahoo News absolutely cracked me up.  It stated that, regarding voters' anger and the stunning results in Massachusetts,

"...Conservatives, perhaps sensing the mood better than liberals..."

No duh!  "Perhaps"?  There's no "perhaps" about it!  Every conservative talk show in the country has been right on target for months while the lefties and mainstreamers continued to play ostrich and suck sand!

Okay.  Enough.  No matter the details, it's obvious there'll be enough continuing, foolish behavior by Democrats to let Sarah know she's needed in Washington for a solid eight years of hard work. After that, she may be able to go home to Wasilla for good, knowing that she's left the country better off for her efforts and left it in capable hands as well.

After all, by 2020, Scott Brown ought to be about ripe for a couple of Presidential terms himself.

Obama is in the blender, not the soup pot.....no pun intended here either. Go Ghost!! Great Hub...you need to email her and give her your hub address....maybe she will hire you for PR I'm serious!!

Ah, the blender; I like that.

As to the other:

1. She doesn't need to hire me for PR. I'll give her all the good PR I can muster up without that. And I like being independent. (Like all those Massachusetts voters....)

2. It's my judgment (so far, anyway) that if Sarah is to become aware of my efforts on her behalf, it'll be better if she or someone close to her notices my work and SHE contacts ME first. Otherwise, it's more like running to Mommy saying, "Look what I did! Oh, a good boy am I!" So I won't do that. I suppose someday someone ELSE may drop her a line, say, "Hey, this guy has got some good stuff," and it could work that way. But from me, or someone I asked to "present my case"? I think not.

Though I do appreciate the suggestion and yes, I do know ou're serious.

The only reason I would consider voting for Sarah Palin is because her true nature would be exposed for all to experience. However the harm she would cause the country is not worth such glee. I am an Independent voter and am watching the mood of the nation very carefully. Your article sounds like a lynch report. Ugh.

LadyJane, I'm glad you're kidding--the skeletons in my closet would never stand up to the kind of scrutiny the entire Palin family has already undergone.

Storytellersrus, I'm glad to hear you're an Independent voter. Although I'm currently registered as a Republican, that's mostly because I prefer to have a say (as a voter) in the nomination of the Republican candidate. I've always voted for the individual, though--one example being Ross Perot in 1992. As far as I can see, Independent voters are the backbone of this nation, and they were certainly the determining factor in the Massachusetts election.

I do admit to being curious about a couple of things in your comment:

1. "...the harm she would cause...." Meaning, specifically, what?

2, "...your article sounds like a lynch report...." Oh? I always thought lynch parties involved physical violence, and I don't see--even after rereading my hub with a critical eye--any mention of that. (If there had been, I'd have been mortified.) Are you trying to say that supporting a political candidate with whose policies you disagree is tantamount to hanging a rustler from the nearest tree limb? Or am I missing something crucial here?

Ghost...Change is coming, but not the change Obama envisioned...Brown's win is a tsunami that will gather momentum and crash full force on the shores of an aroused America...Sarah Palin will be riding that tsunami like an Andy Irons, and enjoying every minute of it...Thanks for this continuing series of Hubs dedicated to Sarahcuda....Larry

Ghost - the "reason" the Obama crown "doesn't see it" is because they can't afford to. This is their last stand. They can't afford to look back over their shoulders because the "monster" might catch them if they do. That "monster" being the sovereign American citizen who still demands to be heard. Keep this excellent "Sarah series" going - it's wonderful!

(by the way, did you see the new Sarah thread about awarding her a medal?)

Larry, your Andy Irons reference is right on.

Madame X, you're undoubtedly correct about the "monster" sovereign American citizen demanding to be heard.

Also, yes, I did see the new Sarah thread and posted a few times. Was truly gratified that Misha responded very positively to one of those posts.

I do appreciate both of you extending your encouragement regarding my pro-Sarah hub series. Gotta go write the next one....:)
