Fibber in Chief : The Great Forked Tongue of President Obama

By Ghost32

Mr. President, Would You LISTEN to Yourself Already?

Fibber McGee and Molly was a great radio show. Having President Obama waggle his forked tongue constantly at the American People is not so great.

Over your head? Okay, let's try this:

Fibber as a comedy show: Good!

Fibber as Commander in Chief: Bad!

Still not clear enough? You're sure he's never lied, this saintly leper--excuse me, leader of ours? You want specific examples if the wacko right wingnut is going to badmouth the big dog?

(*Sigh*)

Okay, Homer. You only get three examples, though. If that's not enough for ya, a hundred wouldn't be, either. Besides, I need to finish this Hub in time to watch American Idol.

That Scotty McCreery kin sang!

By contrast, Barack Hussein Obama does not seem able to stick to one story. Check it out:

He Said vs. He said:

1a. “The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation,” (Dec. 2007)

1b. "I have authorized [without consulting Congress] ...military action in Libya." (March 2011)

Some will argue that's not an example of a true falsehood (remember the movie True Lies?) but merely a case of finding out your perspective changes drastically when it's your ox that's getting gored, when it's your freedom of action and right to place our warriors in harm's way that's being circumscribed by those irrelevant flunkies in Congress.

Not to worry. Libya's on the nation's mind right now, but there are plenty of other examples available, more than enough to make our case here.

2a. "I will set a clear goal as President: In ten years we will finally end our dependence on [foreign] oil...." (August 2008)

2b. "I have told her [President Dilma Roussef of Brazil] that the United States wants to be a major customer [for Brazilian oil] ...." (March 2011)

What? You say even this is not of the Pinocchio Pattern? Why, it's no worse than the fellow who swears he'll end his dependence on gambling or alcohol or sex or high-limit credit cards? Hm. If that's so, then the Fibber in Chief is at the very least fibbing to himself. Eh?

3a. "...to say that you’ve got to take a responsibility to get health insurance [via the Obamacare individual mandate] is absolutely not a tax increase." (March 2010)

3b. Obama administration attempts to defend Obamacare in court on the basis that the individual mandate penalty is indeed a tax.... (July 2010)

Well, duh, Buford. Every conservative in the country knew that from the get-go; now it's time for I-told-ya-so. To tax or not to tax; in the minds of the Obamanation, there is no question.

Which brings to mind one of the most horrible games ever conceived by the mind of mortal children: Truth or Consequences. I've seen young kids ruin their lives, playing the darker aspects of that game, engaging in all sorts of problematic behavior after they chose Consequences over Truth. The Great Forked Tongue of President Obama, unfortunately, wouldn't know Truth if it bit him in the bum.

Kind of hard to avoid consequences--like, say, going down in our country's history as the worst President ever--when Truth is mutable in your ideology.

Pinocchio--I mean, pinochle, anyone?

Remember in November 2012.

Not to mention the audacity.

Here we are with high unemployment, and a failing economy hampered by high fuel prices, and this arrogant dolt tells us we'd better get used to it because he wants green energy in the form of windmills and solar panels!

He once remarked that he has no problen with $5 per gallon gasoline because that will bring America to her knees and force us to accept the idiocy of green energy that does not work.

There is no alternative to oil at the present time, Mr. President!

The Arrogant Dolt. Sounds like a story title, doesn't it?

Yeah, I've heard (or read, whatever) that $5 per gallon remark. Won't be long now.

Ew-w-w-w! I must need a cup of coffee or something. Just had this horrible image of him being actually hired as a derrick hand on the oil rigs. Can you even picture him being faced with a real working situation, let alone one lunging at moving steel tubing on a flying deck fifty feet above the deck floor?

Ew-w-w-w!

Ghost - Are you telling me that Oblabber tells lies. Listen pal, he started that before even raising his right hand. I use this video on occasion to emphasize that point. This might be a world record but I'm not sure.

How to tell 7 lies in under 2 minutes.

Many of his supporters are still living a fairy tale.

Up and awesome my friend.

Actually, now 10 dollar a gallon gas seems attractive to Washington. If Europe pays that why not us? As for anything that comes out of Obama's mouth, just remember it originated somewhere else which is exactly why nothing he says rings true. He is simply the messenger and nothing more.

Helpful to see these comparative statements BHO made lined up together. Yep, he's just a puppet with a long nose that keeps growing.

Frog: It's probably not a world record, but it's possible he's training for a title shot.

Pop: No doubt, but it doesn't matter to me whether he's "just the messenger" or not. He's in the hot seat, and that's where we're applying the heat.

Ms Dee: The comparative statements could serve (I'm hoping) as a quick reference for folks scanning the Net prior to Election Day 2012. Probably should do more of these, but it's not quite general election time yet.

What is most irritating about the conservative 'opinions' on the prez is how you all seem to forget everything he inherited when he took the seat. Time will tell the results so until then you all keep having your fun and laughs. He who laughs last laughs best!

Jeremey: Believe me, I'm not laughing. This is serious stuff.

Ken: It's the rancher's son in me, maybe. Can't get any hay cut of the PTO is not engaged on the tractor, right? PTO in this case meaning "P****d Them Off".

So, your place or mine? OH! Was the mike open? Dang! Forgot they'd installed that Schumer Extreme button!

Right on man! Obama is a liar that cannot be denied but my own opinion is that the president is very little more than just a puppet/figurehead anyway. There are people behind the scenes pulling the strings. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"

I sort of miss all the funny stuff we use to hear about Bush though. Speaking of which I just saw the movie W. a couple days ago, That poor guy, all he wanted was to be loved by his ole poppy... ;0)

jeremy - what in the world does what he inherited have to do with him telling lies and contradicting himself? Sorry but that just doesnt make any sense to me.

What I wouldnt give for a previous administration to blame everything on

Yeah, he may well be all puppety and such, but I figure, hey, get rid of the puppet if that's the only thing available...and go from there.

At our place, we don't need a prior administration--we just blame everything on our 6 month old kitten!

They do indeed. Can't get mad at 'em, so it keeps the tempers down, too.
