Election Day 2010 : IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!

November 2 Is Upon Us

As I write this on Halloween night, October 31, 2010, crucial election campaigns throughout the Land of the Free are reaching deep, finding energies the candidates and their supporters didn't even know they had. It's the final kick, a sprint to the checkered flag.

And come 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday when the polls open, IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!

We the People have had it...and now those who ignored our wishes are gonna get it. We've been disrespected, insulted, called stupid, racist, ignorant, Homer Simpson, Neanderthals, underqualifed, just about everything but overfed. They've slammed everyone and everything from Sarah Palin to Glenn Beck to the Tea Party to the entire state of Arizona. We've faced many a new tax, endured character attacks, and it's time to get those suckers off our backs.

But we can't slow down long enough to catch a breath or nurse a sudden leg cramp. Can't afford it. The opposition is swinging wildly, but they are swinging. It's no time for even one of us who believes in the USA as a Constitutional republic to get careless, not even for a split second. A wild swing will still knock your block off if you stick your skull in the way of a moving fist. We must make certain it's the Democrats who end up running, shrieking, from Tuesday's election results, realizing they've just had to face to power of The Thing--the awesome power of the American people in wide-awake mode.

Photo break! Then we'll mention a few things worth considering between now and the time the polls close on Tuesday.

IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!!
IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!!

By The Numbers

Tidbits to consider:

1. This will likely be my last hub until after the polls close on Tuesday evening. Tomorrow night (Monday) is our weekly Palominas Tea Party meeting, after which I'll need to force myself to pretend I'm sleeping for a few hours. Because I'll be at the polls by 5:45 a.m. on November 2, first to vote and then to electioneer on behalf of conservative candidates as close to the polling station as legally permissible for the remainder of the day.

2. Don't give up on talking to folks! When it comes to candidate selection, you'd think every voter would have made his or her selections by this time, this year. Not so. Pam and I were in the checkout line at the grocery store just two days ago and asked the checker if he was going to vote on Tuesday. The answer was yes. But he had not come to a decision about any race on the entire ballot! His exact words were, "I'll make up my mind the day before the election."

3. We all need to keep a sharp eye out for potential voter fraud. News reports of attempted fraudĀ are coming in from all corners of the country. Perhaps the wildest, most blatant examples are in Nevada where early voters touching the screens for Sharron Angle watched the machines insist they'd just voted for Harry Reid. Only a true Pollyanna would believe we'll catch each and every dirty trick, but we need to catch as many as we can. The Demo-rats know they've been cornered this year, and cornered rats are dangerous rats.

Fortunately, there's a simple way to exterminate political rats--just bop 'em over the head at the ballot box.

I am sure we will hear more about voter fraud than ever before. Some of what I have already heard is appalling.

Good suggestions for the last day.

Yes, it's definitely appalling. There's a bright side, though...which is that our side is catching so much of this stuff before the polls even open. That could indicate (a) huge amounts of fraud beyond any seen before in this country, (b) a lot of really dumb criminals enacting much of that fraud in a state of sheer panic, (c) an awakened American citizenry on the prowl, collaring crooks, or (d) all of the above.

I strongly suspect all of the above. With the current mood out there, though, we'll come out just fine as long as we have (c).

It's about 10 p.m., and I'm definitely relaxing, watching the results. We've got the U.S.House back for sure, we've gained in the Senate, and any incumbents we don't beat this year we'll beat in 2012.

We the People had ONE SHOT to put a stop to OzBama's radical agenda, and we DID NOT MISS. For the moment, that's ALL that matters.

Details in a later hub!

Praise God for this.....and I read they are going to redo or eliminate, I prefer eliminate the HealthCare Reform Bill.....

I am dancing for joy over here at that news, of course, I have a wait and see attitude concerning it. The only one I can have. Will be interested on your upcoming hub (the post-mortems)....and how you feel "Harry Potter" Reid is taking all of this.....changed his tune a bit, again, wait and see....I am excited with the upcoming changes!!!

Pam says thanks for saying such nice things about her husband (that would be me) because she agrees! :) Me? Um, I'm not unhappy so far, just pondering how best to hammer the next piece of the puzzle into place as we do what we need to do between now and 2012.

Now, about (as Rush calls him) Dingy Harry: He hasn't changed his tune except to make it louder and more strident. Last night after he knew he'd survived, he was all cocky and using the word "fight" a lot.

However, he "ain't seen nuthin'" till he goes up against our new Speaker of the House, John Boehner. And it's the House that has control of the nation's purse strings (except where Obama can and will pull his usual dirty tricks).

Obama Care-Not won't be eliminated yet. The House may well pass a repeal bill, but with the Dems still holding the Senate, it won't make it to Obama's desk for a veto, even. On the other hand, the House can and most likely will strangle the funding--meaning they'll have no bucks to pay all those new IRS agents they want.

The best shot at seeing it go away prior to 2013 with a new President is in the Supreme Court. The Court is likely to agree that the individual mandate is unconstitutional, and that would wipe out the whole thing. But that ruling may not come down prior to 2013, so it's still "wait and see".
