Border Security : Barack Obama vs. Danny Mullins

64

By Ghost32

Danny Mullins is a man who loves America. Barack Obama is not.

People who love this country are not usually inveterate liars, and Obama is about as inveterate as they come. For example, as part of the El Paso speech in which he talked about those of us on the right not being happy about the border until we had a moat stocked with alligators, he also said,

"The fence is basically complete."

No, it's not. Not even close. Plus, even where there is a bit of fencing--such as directly south of our property--the tall stuff (which illegal immigrants regularly scale in record time, anyway) gives way here and there to what any old rancher would consider the poorest excuse for a jackleg fence ever constructed. How poor? Just two horizontal steel rails, held up here and there and over yonder, just enough to discourage vehicluar traffic a bit.

So much for President Obama. Mullins, on the other hand, is as honest as the day is long. He also happens to have a real chip on his shoulder when it comes to the folks in Washington lying so ubiquitously to the American people. He doesn't like that...and he decided to do something about it. Not try to stir up the press, or form an exploratory committee, or convince those yahoos in D.C .

No. He decided to act.

So he cut himself a video, posted it on YouTube, and emailed me a link to the video. When he first mentioned to me that he'd done this, I told him I had to admire his intestinal fortitude. After all, I'm reasonably certain that if I were to do what he's done, the Obamalice (short for Obama's Police, of course) would do everything in their power to turn it into an international incident.

Danny, on the other hand, probably doesn't care if this does stir things up a bit. He's decided to call his "organization" 1POA--which stands for, get this, One Proud Old American. You might want to fire up the video, see if you're not just a little proud of what he's done here.

Danny Mullins on the Mexican Border

The border is secure as it's ever been! Only pedestrians, motorcycles, ultralight aircraft, and pogo sticks allowed!
The border is secure as it's ever been! Only pedestrians, motorcycles, ultralight aircraft, and pogo sticks allowed!

Danny Mullins didn't stop with that simple illustration. In fact, he's just getting warmed up. He's uncovered a bit of information here and there that I'd missed, too--such as the fact that when Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed by an AK-47 wielding illegal immigrant, he (Terry) was firing beanbags at the bad guys. Under orders from above, of course.

Ouch.

One thing is certain: I'm glad it's Danny, not Barack, who lives in Arizona. Yep. I'll take 1POA (One Proud Old American) as a neighbor over 1AHP (One America-Hating President) any day.

Remember in November 2012.

I'm not really acquianted with this issue, but why is it that Americans need to keep South Americans out of the USA anyway? USA is already about half latino... I'd say that if they make your country a better place, then they have a right to do so, right? What is it about latinos that ruins your country?

Bravo Ghost and Bravo Danny Mullins. What a travesty. Send this to Obama and Napolitano. Send it over and over again. Voted up and awesome and useful too.

I hope many see this video from Danny Mullins. That will prove that Obama was flat out lying at the El Paso event where he declared the border fence nearly completed. Now the big question is if Obama is getting bad intel from his advisors, or if it is just easier to lie about it than fix it.

Fred - Obama is a Spin Meister. It always amazes me that his adoring followers never bother to find out the actual facts, especially about border security. By all accounts I have been reading not more than 5% of the fence has been completed adequately.

I thought the moat and alligators might be a spendid idea. Just sprinkle in some land mines and vicious dogs on our side of the moat and progress might be made.

Great Hub my friend.

Andrew: It's not a matter of race, i.e. Latino, etc. It's a matter of "boundaries". EVERY entitiy in existence, be it a nation, a state, a person, an animal, a plant, or a single cell, MUST have border integrity. If the cells in your body have border failure, become invaded by foreign organisms, they die. If a nation's border becomes too porous, it, too, dies.

None of us are against immigration. We are against ILLEGAL immigration. Something like 17% of all those coming across already have known criminal records in THIS country; they're repeat offenders and dangerous people.

BPop & Mike: Interesting how simple it is to pierce the veil of lies when just one person decides to take action, isn't it?

Frog: I presume the operational term there is "completed ADEQUATELY". Best case scenario (any sort of fence at all) reports have run as high as something like 20% completion, but none higher than that.

kafsoa: Thanks. Danny's the one doing the real work and putting himself on the line (literally), of course.

Danny Mullins is an example of an American who walks the walk and talks the talk. Thanks, Ghost for sharing this with us.

Judging by recent news, the phrase "The fence is basically complete." means "with holes big enough to drive truckloads through'.

Yup, as complete as its gonna get, too. We get so caught up in worrying about politicians buying votes that the thought never crosses our mind that they might be willing to pay for the opportunity to vote.

I wonder how many citizens who don't live in border states visualize a 20 foot high wall with barbed wired and flood lights on the top. Our border fence is just like fencing one side of your yard, but leaving all the rest wide open. Then our president makes jokes about what we want now, a moat with alligators in it? It is not a joke, and I take serious offense to his remarks from El Paso last week.

I welcome comments from any of the Libs who dare to view this video.

Dexter: Danny does that. Thanks for commenting.

FitnezzJim: Well put.

Mike: Yes, I'm willing to bet that if we could magically transport every citizen who voted for Obama in 2008, provide a free fast-forward airborne ride above the border from Brownsville to San Diego, more than half of them would suddenly understand: The Prez really DOES have a veracity problem.

Comments from Libs are definitely welcome as long as they make sense and eschew personal attacks, vague generalities, and/or profanity.

Danny is risking his life by going into the mountains and looking for lookouts. Those guys are illegal aliens and murderers.

Why not use our Special Forces on those jerks? They are a clear and present danger. How about a shoot to kill SEAL raid?

Old Poolman profile image

Old Poolman Level 7 Commenter 12 months ago

WillStarr is correct, Danny is taking one heck of a chance going into those mountains. Those guys would just as soon kill you as look at you. I love his solution of sending in the SEAL's, but our leaders would have to admit there was a problem prior to doing this. And that ain't going to happen.

Up, useful and awesome, Ghost. Danny has cajones. Tweeting and Facebooking.

Will: Yes, Danny's taking a risk. Not without knowing the dangers, though; he is (among other things) a veteran. Not Special Forces, admittedly--as far as I know, anyway.

If Special Forces WERE used, it would take more than one raid. Or maybe not; the word would certainly spread rather quickly.

Mike: We understand about the mountains. Pam's son and his friends have been camping and hunting there for most of their lives. On the other hand, a good hunting rifle trumps the average AK-47 in a heartbeat, and both sides know that. In their cases, the two groups mostly pretty much leave each other alone.

rkhyclak: Danny does indeed have cajones. Thanks for the Bird and the Book.

Hi Ghost,

Danny's a real hero for doing this. While alot is being written about the lousy border security, very little of it is in the MSM, and even what you get on the internet is mostly text, not video. I think video has alot of impact, because it provides proof of what you're saying. I hope his clips really go viral.

I'm all for the moat and the gators, Ghost, it's just the location that Obummy has wrong. I would want moat and gators surrounding his office so he couldn't get out to do more damage. After cutting off all means of communication of course.

Good one again Ghost. I am 100% behind you on Obama on the border and immigration, I think he just believes everything his ad visors tell him and doesn't think he's lying. He never went and inspected the border how the heck does he know? On thing I think you and your followers are missing is the Northern border, there is the joke. If Bin Laden was smart he would have crossed into the U S there and gone to Dearborn, Michigan and got a shave and haircut and h'ed be getting social security and food stamps right now and we would never had known. How many Bin Ladens have crossed from the north while we are so concerned about all the mexicans coming and stealing our jobs? The drug dealers, easy, legalize it all and tax the hell out of it. Obama is a puppet just like all the GOP hacks that keep giving big oil and big business tax breaks and anything they want. I think this video will open some eyes but if the president and congress don't do it then it won't be done.

Remember in November 2012.

Thanks Peter

drbj: There's a thought!

Peter: In truth, while we've written more and had more discussion about the southern border (and of course that's where I happen to be living at the moment), none of us are neglecting Canada. However, I will confess that the only thing I've published in that direction lately was http://hubpages.com/hub/Western-Short-Story-The-Bo a while back.

God bless Danny Mullins. Another great Hub, Ghost. Those of us that live half the country away just don't have any idea. And to Andrew: this isn't racial, it's about respect. If someone comes into my house uninvited, and starts cooking himself a meal, it doesn't matter whether he can cook better than me or not, there is no such right to do such a thing. And I got something else to take care of the respect part.

Thanks, grayghost. As a relative newcomer to the border (having lived her just twe years and one month to date), I totally understand that. We did have to deal with illegal immigrants in Colorado--one without a Colorado driver's license, running on his "International License" and not even close to handling the slick, steep mountain switchback dirt roads we used in the gas drilling boom, was a great example. Lost downhill control on a rain-slick, muddy grade, and smashed his tanker into mine, one fine day.

But we still didn't see the border impact up and personal the way you do living in, as some of our friends from Phoenix term it, "the Dragon's mouth".

Becky 12 months ago

I knew the borders were not secure because a friend in the Border Control down in CA told us. I did not realize my grandfather could cross with ease. That is a fence? My donkey could have crossed that one. I had better fences for my goats. They need to take fence making lessons from a farmer. They look at the agility of the animal they are trying to keep in and make the fence accordingly. Thanks for the pictures, they were helpful.

Ghost32 Hub Author 12 months ago

LOL! I'm sure you did have better fences for your goats!
