2012 Presidential Campaign Issues : #8 : Fear for Your Life

58

By Ghost32

Motivation: Due to both the passage of time and the sheer number of issues at stake during the 2012 Presidential election campaign, it's all too easy to "forget stuff". In this series, we hope to provide a set of reminder pages for handy reference in the runup to Election Day.

It is no exaggeration to state that President Obama's policies increase the risk of your early and violent demise.

"Under Obama, respect for the constitution and the rule of law have
been replaced by post millennial political activism. Patriotism has
become a dirty word. The Obama agenda is not, nor has it ever been,
solution driven. This is most evident in the President's refusal to
acknowledge the well documented relationship the Mexican drug cartels
have with Hamas, Hezbollah and other terrorist groups who want to
destroy America."____Ed Ashurst (Apache, Arizona, January 26, 2012)

Riding hard from the left they come, decriers of the right

"Hang onto your fear and hate!" They say; mocking is their delight

We're asked to close our eyes real tight and vote for their man Barack

They pooh-pooh the possibility we're actually under attack

I'd not presume to judge their hearts; they do seem quite sincere

But while hate is never a part of it, it's logical to fear

Let's take a look at semantics before we get too detailed

Especially that word called "fear" which keeps us un-derailed

====================================================

If we fear no disease at all, we ignore our own health

It pays to fear SWAT teams these days who use both force and stealth

It's not a bad idea (if you want to survive) to give your fear a chance

It might be trying to save your life in this neverending dance

Cartel action's been reported in the city of Atlanta

Not exactly on the border, and them boys don't work for Santa

They're in every major city now and cannot be uprooted

Till we get a new administration and get America rebooted

See all 2 photos

More than forty thousand murdered in the land of Mexico

Not that many yet north of the border, but the number's going to grow

Home invasions and kidnappings by the record setting bunch

When terrorists and invaders count on Obama in the crunch

Yes, he sent folks into Pakistan to make bin Laden fall

While hoping the voters here at home just don't catch on at all

He sides with Felipe Calderon against his own countrymen

And decides that Muslim outreach is within NASA's ken

===================================================

He bows to foreign potentates but not to Netanyahu

Israel soldiers on in the face of the Golden Screw

His policies have made the world see our President as weak

No wonder enemies are emboldened, striking as we speak

Even law enforcement is more deadly to us these days

Just ask Jose Guerena's widow about the price she's had to pay

For the thundering sound of silence from the White House right on down

When her man was flattened by those supposedly protecting her home town

What's that you say? Have I no fear? Well, no, but look here, see

That's just 'cause I've seen Death before and it does not bother me

But if you ask the question, "Am I safer now than I was four years ago?"

The only honest answer is a most emphatic NO!

Even if you know you can hold your own in a knockdown, dragout fight

The current rules make sure the criminals get a chance to put out your lights

If you're gunned down like rancher Robert Krentz, the murderer gets away

But if he'd taken out the cartel gunman, Bob would be behind bars today

Remember in November!

Awesome poem, I believe you have made your point.

That's good. I often have my doubts prior to getting reader feedback.

Doubts are helpful, of course. They keep me sharper than I'd otherwise be.

Right on target again, Fred -- if folks aren't scared they're not paying attention. I think others feel the same way -- if anyone doubts it try to buy ammunition for firearms -- some stores just stay sold out. I don't ever recall anything like that in the past. Definitely voted up! Best/Sis

You are correct, the rule of law has been seriously undermined by the big 0 and the libs. Voters have yet to realize just how dangerous these fools are, but if they reelect them, in the next four years they will learn some hard lessons

Up, awesome. Every time I think you can't get any better, YOU DO !! Awesome work and a great medius style to get the good word out. Praying for your creative energies to last til the election..

BPop: Aprreciate the U & S...and knowing you'll remember, which of course was never in doubt.

Sis: Thanks for the Vote Up. I haven't tried buying ammo lately--can hopefully hold out till after Election Day.

jr3: Exactly. Those of us who have a clue do NOT want to even go there in the Stephen King caverns of our own minds.

Ed: That's good to hear. Whenever I get a comment like that, I have to go back and reread what I wrote to understand my improvement. But like "they" say, if you're not growing, you're dying.

(My twisted sense of humor just nailed me. Got to thinking how awful it would be to have readers saying, "Golly, you get WORSE every time!" Unless you were a masochist, and I guess then....)

The only concern on my end could be running out of "campaign issues" before Election Day. So far, however, I'm adding notes on two more for every one I write about. The problems presented by this particular Presidency really do seem (almost?) endless....

Yeah, I don't send it if I want to write about it. At least until I am done writing and let you read so you can do a different take on it. LOL

Fred - We all need to start using this graphic over and over again as a reminder of what needs to be done - a thorough house cleaning.

So...maybe We the People will be "scared straight" and "vote right" in November...:)

The problem is, 50% of Americans no longer pay income tax, and most of them are also receiving some sort of benefit from government, for which they can thank Democrats.

Guess who they will vote for?

Ghost32 profile image

Ghost32 Hub Author 3 months ago

We've still got an edge, Will. A significant percentage of the benefit-receivers won't bother to get up off the couch and vote.

But we do ABSOLUTELY need to Get It Done THIS November. The tide of dependency will be a pure dee ugly tsunami if the Dems get 4 more years to work their wiles.

@Will Starr, there are people out there who want to work and would drop any assistance to have a decent job. I am trying to figure out how to get enough $$ to move 1200 miles to a job I was offered, before it goes away. I know a number of people who will vote republican to get our country back on track, they need jobs and fell out of "awe"

Ghost32 profile image

Thanks for mentioning that, Mary.
